Introducing Our Reading Cafés

We are excited to launch a brand-new initiative at our school: Reading Cafés! These special sessions are designed to strengthen the vital connection between home and school while giving parents practical tools to support their children’s reading journey at home.

During each Reading Café, we begin by sharing simple, effective strategies that parents can use to make reading enjoyable and successful outside the classroom. After this, families can relax and take part in a range of engaging activities—crafted to bring parents and children together through the joy of reading. From interactive games to creative tasks, these activities are a wonderful way to celebrate stories and build confidence in reading.

Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where parents feel empowered and children feel inspired. We can’t wait to see you at our next Reading Café!

Spring 1:

EYFS: Friday 20th March, 9.30 - 11am

Year 1: Tuesday 17th March, 9.30 - 11am

Year 2: Wednesday 4th Feb, 9.30 - 11am

Year 3: Monday 2nd March, 9.30 - 11am

Year 4: Friday 27th March, 9.30 - 11am

Year 5: Wednesday 12th Feb, 9.30 - 11am

Year 6: Tuesday 10th Feb, 9.30 - 11am

Dragonflies: Friday 13th Feb, 1.30 - 2.30pm
